The world largest car maker Maruti Suzuki launched a new Swift car with a price tag of Rs 4.99 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi) at Auto Expo 2018 and can cost up to 7.96 for top variant models.
The model of the new Swift car will be available both in diesel and petrol engine along with the automatic transmission. The engine models remain the same with petrol variant have a 1.2 litre K series engine while diesel variant is powered by 1.3 liter DDiS engine.
Maruti Suzuki New Swift 2018
The Maruti Suzuki Swift was first launched in India in the year May 2005, after August 2011 Maruti Suzuki started to launch all third- generation Swift cars with 1.2 Litre K series petrol and 1.3 Litre DDiS engines. Now at present Maruti Suzuki Swift is the top-selling used cars by most customers in India. Till now at around 18 lakh units of Swift car had been sold from the first arrival of the Swift car in India.
Since last month booking was opened by the company for the new Swift car which is based on 3rd generation of Suzuki’s HEARTECT platform. It is estimated that there is 6-8 week waiting period for the Swift car booking that is been going on from last month January.
Maruti Suzuki Managing Director and CEO Kenichi Ayukawa said in the Auto Expo launch about the company moving forward under the principle of “Transformation taking product, technology and experience to the next level ” from last few years.
“For the first time, Swift comes with the convenience of Auto Gear Shift, the highly popular two-pedal technology,”
Launched in India here is the price variant of the car.
Specification of new Swift
The newly launched Swift car by Maruti Suzuki has a lot of features such as automatic transmission, automatic LED projector headlamps, tail lamps, led brake lights, rear seat offers more space for legs to keep in a comfortable manner from the previous generation. The Swift car has wider space and larger bigger body with a longer wheelbase. It can boost more fuel capacity for a long run while the luggage compartment has increased to 58 liters, 28 percent more than the previous generation and 24mm more headroom.

Swift car is among the top selling cars in India with a 35 percent market share from per sales numbers. The Maruti Suzuki the parent company of the Swift Suzuki car has spent around 800 crores in the making of these new cars. The new vehicles of the Swift car are produced from the Suzuki’s Gujarat plant.
