Toss – Sri Lanka vs India – T20 – 6th September, 2017
A video is going around that which suggests Indian captain Virat Kohli may not have been correctly awarded the toss in the T20I against Sri Lanka on Wednesday.
The TOSS event as it unfolded :
- Virat Kohli had called ‘heads’
- Sri Lanka’s Upul Tharanga tossed the coin.
- Referee Andy Pycroft looked at the coin, and said, “Tails, India.”
Presenter Murali Kartik, on hearing “India”, started interviewing Kohli while the referee tried to intervene. But nothing happened and the match procedure continued. It was considered Virat called for HEADS and India won the TOSS.
