The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the violence in Haryana and parts of Punjab, following Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh‘s conviction in rape cases, said the unrest was funded by his sect, Dera Sacha Sauda. According to the SIT, Dera authorities spent at least Rs 5 crore to cause the unrest which led to the death of 39 people. The SIT is probing involvement of Aditya Insaan, Honeypreet Insaan and Surender Dhiman Insaan in this case.
